Our love of Golden Retrievers began 20 years ago with the addition of our first Golden, Mia. We learned a lot from life with Mia, and she instilled in us a lifelong love for this breed. Our journey as breeders began under the mentorship of our dear friend Leslie Lesser (Goldenway Goldens). One of the many things Leslie taught us is that a reputable breeder is available to answer any questions you have about a puppy you purchase, throughout the entire life of that dog. Following Leslie’s passing, we decided to form Sea Glass Goldens.
We breed a few litters each year and all of our dogs and puppies live in our home as valued members of our family. We do not keep them in kennels. We take great pride and joy in raising our puppies, pouring our hearts and souls into their development, preparing them to be healthy, happy and loving members of your family, who want lots of cuddles. Our puppies make wonderful family pets as well as great dog sport, conformation, and therapy dogs. All our dogs' hips, elbows, eyes, and hearts are evaluated by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) by board certified veterinarians, who are experts in their field.
We also believe strongly in lifelong learning and enrichment for our dogs, and the importance of keeping your dog mentally stimulated so that they can reach their highest potential. We take classes and train with them long after Puppy Kindergarten, in many areas including conformation, obedience, rally, scent work, dock diving, Fast CAT and more. Becca is a member of the Board of Directors of The First Dog Training Club of Northern New Jersey.
